End of Season Ledger

As summer rolls into autumn (or fall as the Americans may say), another Lichess4545 season has come to an end. But, although summer may be over, a new season of 4545 has begun and as I type, week one of season 23 is about to be completed.

In this edition of the ledger, we say goodbye to season 22 and bring you all of the latest news, puzzles and statistics.

Season 12 of the Chess960 league is currently underway. After two rounds, CoachJohn and arian13862007 share first place. 

Rapid Battle

Rapid Battle #10 has reached its conclusion, congratulations to the winners:

Division 1:

kungfupanda20008 dominated the group stage with a division-leading 7.5/8 score before cruising to the finals and beating FlokiTheCat by a convincing score of 2.5-0.5.

:third_place_medal: Walfie

The Division 2 title goes to j3084, who was simply unstoppable in the knockout round and didn't lose a single game on the way to the title.

Fantasy - End of Season Write-up

The Fantasy League for Season 22 had 36 real participants and every one of them did better than the "bot team" by cheapskate. Thanks to all for playing and congrats to the winners:

Favourite fantasy team name was Silkthewanderer's "Dr Emanuel Lasker vs The Tarrasque". 

For the first time ever in fantasy history, "bot profligate" managed to beat all humans (but only because it's allowed to flout the price cap). Bot teams overall did fairly well this season placing in the top 12 (except for cheapskate, who continues to show remarkable consistency by securing the last spot for the third consequtive time).
